Ellicott City is the county seat of Howard County government and offers a great location for families working both in Baltimore and Washington, DC. The schools are among the top rated in the state and nationally. Within Ellicott City and its surrounding area are many parks including the beautiful Patapsco River and Patapsco Valley State Park with great recreational opportunities.

Although one of the main attractions in Ellicott City is a beautifully restored old Mill Town built in 1772, it also includes much more. The historical Main Street includes a wide array of restaurants, museums and shops. Historic Ellicott City is one of those rare towns where people from all walks of life converge. Suburban teenagers, bikers, aging hippies, yuppies, New Agers and good ol’ boys coexist in mostly tranquil harmony.

Homes are available in all styles and ages with new development now surrounding the Historic District and larger estate homes now overlooking the countryside and farms.
