In April 2011 Forbes.com stated the medium Income for Howard County Maryland is $101,300 (which is the 4th highest in the county behind Falls Church, Loudoun and Fairfax Counties in VA)
Howard County was created from Anne Arundel County in 1938 and officially became a county in 1851. It was named for a Revolutionary War officer and governor of Maryland, John Eager Howard. The county incorporates a historic legacy with a dynamic economy including farming to high-tech industry along with a wide array of cultural and leisure activities.
